Although this is a simplified version of the Republican Party's relationship with Latinos, it's still painfully accurate. What I find amazing is that much of what they publicly preach about self-reliance, and keeping the tax man out of your pocket, would really resonate with many Latino, especially older ones. But for some reason they're desire to feel threatened by Latin American immigrants, and anyone who looks like them, far outweighs the desire to even entertain the idea of inclusion.
